A massive renovation is taking place in Downtown Superior where the old Luyre Furniture was located. The building, Empire Block LLC, is being converted into a retail store front on the main level. There will also be apartments on the second and third floor. Watch this video to see the progress.
Road construction has been taking place for quite some time now on Belknap Street in Superior. It's a necessary evil, as this stretch has needed to be fixed for quite some time. A glaring problem has come up though, and it's frustrated quite a few people. You aren't supposed to turn from Tower Avenue onto Belknap Street, but people still do. This causes some pretty bad traffic congestion.
Last summer downtown Superior got a major facelift after the reconstruction project on North Tower Avenue. It officially reopened in October, but they've been working this summer on landscaping projects. This weekend they are ready to celebrate!

Crews had been working diligently to have Tower Avenue finished by last Friday. While dining at a restaurant on Tower I noted that they were working well into the evening hours. According to Chris Ouellette from the DOT, the construction is completed and after the date of Tower Avenue's opening had been postponed, the day is finally here.
