The demolition of the Duluth News Tribune warehouse at 408 West First Street will cause a temporary road closure in downtown Duluth that you should be aware of. This closure will allow for the continued construction of the new maurices headquarters.
Cathy and I visited Brenda Sederberg's 3rd grade class yesterday to deliver another $400 Service Learning check from Maurice's. Her class is doing a service learning project where they are tackling a problem within their school.

Congratulations to this week's Service Learning Northland award winner Ann Kucinski! Ann is a Spanish teacher at Denfeld, who is having her class become pen pals with Spanish speaking students in a Chicago school. The money will be used to purchase books written in Spanish for the students to read.
