Northbound 5th Ave West in Duluth to Temporarily Close May 12

It's that time of the year again, time to find alternate routes due to construction projects. With that in mind, the City Of Duluth issued a reminder today of a road closure the will be in effect next Tuesday in downtown Duluth.

The north bound lane of 5th Avenue West will be closed, between Superior Street and the alley just below West First Street, starting May 12th until approximately June 5th, due to crane placement for precast installation for the Maurices Headquarters construction.

Motorists are encouraged to use West First Street or West 2nd Street to access the trio of government buildings and surrounding businesses.

The good news in this is that the relocation of this crane will open up 4th Ave West to motor vehicle traffic.
