New Lifetime Movie Filming In The Northland

The more, the merrier! Yet another movie is filming in the Northland. Minnesota has become a hot spot of sorts for movie making and we've had quite a few productions filmed right here in the Duluth area.

In fact, in March, a Lifetime movie filmed along the North Shore made its official premiere. The movie is called A Mother-In-Law's Obsession and it looked really good and intense.

This is one example of many. We all know there have been a few Christmas romcoms filmed here (my favorite) over the years and I hope that even more are filmed here in the very near future.

It may not be a holiday film but another project is in the works in the Northland. This movie is also for Lifetime. Who doesn't love a good Lifetime movie? I know I do!

New Lifetime Film Shooting Across The Northland

According to FOX 21, who broke the news, the latest movie in the works is called Running From The Truth. Just the title alone tells me that this movie is as dramatic as it gets and I love that when it comes to a film. That makes it entertaining!

The movie has already filmed in downtown Duluth and on the Iron Range. Locals will even notice some popular haunts when they watch the movie back. That is one of my favorite things about watching a movie filmed here.

So what is the film about? It centers around a family whose son has accidentally been shot by a bully. The family then disappears and goes on the run to try and keep said bully out of jail. This is definitely a lot different than other movies that have been filmed here in the past.

The movie will likely come out at the end of the year. I am excited to learn more about it as we get a little bit closer. I will keep you updated! There are so many movies filmed in the area that we have to look forward to.
