Ken & Cathy Visit Service Learning Northland Winner Ann Kucinski

Congratulations to this week's Service Learning Northland award winner Ann Kucinski!  Ann is a Spanish teacher at Denfeld, who is having her class become pen pals with Spanish speaking students in a Chicago school.  The money will be used to purchase books written in Spanish for the students to read. It's also the last $200 grant from Maurices delivered this year!  You can still send applications over the summer for the next year if you didn't have time this year.  Applications are reviewed by a committee and are available to more than just teachers.  If you teach anything in the community, whether it be a community class, early childhood project, or anything in the education area, you could qualify.  The project needs to serve the community.  More details online right here on our website.
