2022 has only just begun but Lauren Alaina is already having a year for the record books - and her latest achievement has a cool Duluth connection.

She is already having quite the year. She was recently invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry and will be officially inducted into the iconic venue in February. She has performed at the Opry more than fifty times and counting.

She will also be embarking on a solo headlining tour that kicks off later in February, right after her Grand Ole Opry induction. The headlining tour will take her to Minnesota in early March, performing a show at the Varsity Theater.

She also has a song that is climbing the charts: a duet with Jon Pardi called Getting Over Him. The two have a strong bond and friendship which makes the song great. It is currently in the top thirty on the country charts and climbing!

Now, she is adding yet another impressive job to her resume: brand ambassador for maurices! This is extra special because maurices is a Duluth-based company, located in the heart of downtown Duluth.

Lauren was named the brand ambassador for 2022 for the company. The company says that she was the perfect fit for the job because of her "deep love for community" and "passion for confidence-boosting fashion" which the company offers. They also cite her "genuine desire" to give back and help others.

The company is also teasing a cool partnership with Lauren, writing on their website that the two will work together to "make a positive difference in the lives of women who are the heart of our hometowns." The company didn't give too many details but did say that they would be handing out details soon.

Lauren herself shared her excitement over the partnership on her Instagram page after the news was announced. In true Lauren fashion, she shared the news with a few fun puns:

Like we said, this is a really cool Duluth connection. The Duluth-based company is big nationwide but to have the headquarters located right here in the downtown area makes the connection even cooler. Who knows - maybe Lauren will make an appearance?

Back in 2019, Maurices was sold to a new owner. According to reports, the company was sold to OpCapita, which is a private European equity firm. Of course, there is also a maurices store in the Northland, located in the Miller Hill Mall.
