I'm a "lady of the 80's" and you will definitely see some 80's hair in THIS video!  I chose Diamond Rio as our "Solid Gold Pick of the Week" with a song I use to call, the ravioli song when I first started in radio, "Meet In The Middle".

The first Grammy the band ever won was for their Christian album which also won the Dove award.  They've come so far from then and are now a six-time Vocal Group of the Year!  They were formed in the mid-80's with band members Marty Roe as lead singer, guitarist Jimmy Olander, drummer Brian Prout, keyboardist Dan Truman,    bassist/harmony Dana Williams and Gene Johnson on mandolin/harmony.

Their successful Country Music career hit in the early 1990's.  They have sold over 10 million albums earning three platinum and five gold records and won the Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year award four times as well as netting two Academy of Country Music Awards in the top Vocal Group of the Year category and thirteen GRAMMY ® nominations. Their hit “Meet in the Middle" designated them as the first group in the history of country music to have a debut single reach No. 1. They continued to place 32 more singles on the Billboard chart.  Are you ready to flashback with me?
