High School Hockey Play-offs Will Be Aired On WDIO, When Can You See Your Favorite Show?
It's an exciting time in the Northland for many families. We are near the end of the High School Hockey Playoffs and the State Boys Hockey Tournament will begin next week. Our media partners, WDIO/WIRT will be airing all the hockey action. Here's the schedule.
Even though Wrenshall didn't have a hockey team when I was in school, pretty much classes stopped down and we watched the other teams in the tournament. WDIO/WIRT has been diligent in bringing us all the action, but for those that have their favorite shows moved to air the hockey games, when can you view them?
Congrats to the Hermantown Hawks on another great season. They defeated the Hibbing-Chisholm Bluejackets for another trip to the State Tourney. That's in Boys Section 7A.
Tonight we'll see Section 7AA which pits Grand Rapids and Duluth East. Pre-game starts at 6:30p with the puck dropping at 7:00p. One of these teams will be taking the trip to the Twin Cities with Hermantown. But, that changes the regular programming you're use to snuggling on the couch to watch on a Thursday night.
According to wdio.com, if the game(s) end on time, programming will be as per usual starting at 9:00p through Nightline at 11:35p. Then you can catch the show's that were missed during the game, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and ABC World News Now. If you can't stay up that late you may need to set the DVR.
As the WDIO schedule for the State Hockey Tournament becomes available for next week we'll be sure and share.
