December In Duluth Is Off To Record-Breaking Start
Winter is here in full swing! We saw a huge winter storm over the Thanksgiving holiday and now we've seen a few storms here and there since.
We saw a pretty light round of snow earlier this week, which was nice because it gave us enough that snow lovers will be happy but didn't impact our travel too much.

It feels like, in my opinion, this is the first winter in a few years that feels like an actual winter. It seems much colder and snowier than in winters past at this time. Winters have been mild and I got too used to it.
Don't just take my word for it though. WDIO shared some pretty startling statistics about winter in Duluth so far and this just hurts a little. Ha!
WDIO Shares Interesting Facts About Winter So Far In Duluth - Yikes!
Yeah, this isn't great. According to a post from WDIO, Duluth is off to the 16th coldest start for a December since we started keeping records on this kind of thing. That is simply not great.

That wasn't the only jarring stat. The last time Duluth was this cold from the jump was nearly two decades ago in 2007. This really puts things in perspective, especially with an unbelievably cold weekend in our sights.
Wind chills could be as cold as forty below this weekend so make sure you opt for indoor activities as much as possible. Make sure your car is all set to go for the cold temperatures as well.
