July 4th, 2022, both Duluth and Superior canceled their 4th of July festivities, including their event and fireworks. Duluth has already held their rescheduled July 4th events, while Superior's is coming up on Labor Day Weekend.

So far, Superior has not addressed what they will do at Barker's Island Festival Park but has released plans for the Dennis VanAlstine Car Show and all the music and festivities that will be going on that day, including some replacement bands.

The food vendors will line up on Barker's Island and be there 1-10 pm, they were set up in the Barker's Island Festival Park parking lot.

Elsewhere on Barker's Island will be The Dennis VanAlstine Classic Car Show from 1 pm to 6 pm. If you have a car to enter, you are invited to show up or email Michele at micwickedpromotions@gmail.com or call her at 218-491-0055.

Then from 1 to 2:30, Deep Water Music takes the stage to play a variety of covers.

From 2:45 to 4:15, Born Too Late will play. Keep in mind they have quite a list of classic covers they play, and they just released a new album called "Rebel Child," so you might hear some tracks off that record. When you go, request "The Apple Song."

From 4:30 to 6 The Bordertown Betties will hold their Pin-Up Contest, and then the Dennis VanAlstine Classic Car show will hand out their awards for the day.

From 7:15 to 8:30 and 8:50 to 10 pm, Darling Danger will entertain the masses taking at break for the Fireworks from 8:30 pm to 8:50 pm.
