New Splash Pad Opens This Summer At Wade Bowl Park
The City of Superior's new Splash Pad is set to open this summer! The project has been in the works for over a year, and it's now ready to open once the weather warms up.
I was walking my dog through Wade Bowl park in Superior's Post Office Neighborhood when I saw the new signage up on the changing room at Wade Bowl. The small building also serves as a warming house for the ice skating rink in the winter.
The Splash Pad will be open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting. The city says it will open annually when temperatures remain mild for a week. That means highs need to be in the upper 60s and lows need to be above 50 degrees before it opens.
Once warmer weather is here, the Splash Pad will operate from 9 AM to 9 PM. It will close for inclement weather, such as rain, lightning, and high winds.
