One Last Spring Cleanup Is On For Superior In 2026
City of Superior Mayor Jim Paine announced on social media that the city will be doing one more spring cleanup for 2026. Last year was supposed to be the last as the Superior Landfill nears its capacity. The mayor says there is still some room at the landfill, so they're going to hold one more spring cleanup. Here's what you need to know.
The cleanup starts on April 27th in Superior's North End. The scheduled citywide pickup is for household trash that cannot be disposed of in the city-approved garbage receptacles.
Residents are to have their eligible items for disposal placed next to where their trash is normally picked up before 7:00 AM on the scheduled day for their neighborhood. The city asks residents not to put the items out further than a week before the scheduled date.
Week 1 is scheduled for the North End of Superior on April 27th - May 1st. Week 2 will be for Tower Avenue, Northern Lights School Area, and South Superior from May 4th to May 8th.

Week 3 will focus on Billings Park and Central Park, while week 4 will conclude with East Superior and Allouez/Itasca neighborhoods.
Any items deemed unsuitable by Public Works will not be picked up, and will become the resident's responsibility to remove.

This schedule is not for the brush pickup, which also begins on April 27th.
