Ever since I found out that I can't eat pasta any more because of the wheat in the pasta, I've been looking for a replacement.  I shop frequently at ALDI and I saw they had a gluten free pasta in their gluten free section.  Here's my review.

It's made from brown rice and quinoa, which are two things I normally don't eat.  (I guess this is the new norm for me.)  What I was happy to see is that it takes about the same amount of time to cook as regular pasta.  Some gluten free breads and other recipes take FOREVER (like this pizza crust recipe.)

After it was cooked al dente (I think, it was hard to tell) I took a bite of one of the noodles.  It tasted OK, I mean noodles don't really have much of a taste anyway.  The consistency is usually where this gluten free stuff fails.  It was a little bit like eating a grainy paste.  The good news though is that as soon as I topped it with the spaghetti sauce, I couldn't tell the difference.

So for that reason, I'd call this a win.  I don't think I'd eat it with just butter or plain, but with the right sauce this can be a good substitute.
