Affinity Plus Helps Feed the Northland with ‘Coins For A Cause’
All this week, Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union in Duluth and Grand Rapids are collecting coins in a variety of ways to help feed the hungry in the Northland with their 'Coins For A Cause' campaign, and they will match up to a grand total of $25,000 for local food shelves.
Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union is located at 1820 Maple Grove Road in Duluth and at 2120 SE 2nd Avenue in Grand Rapids and they currently have a collection barrel in the branch entryway of each location. Everyone is invited to stop by to donate their extra change, with all donations going to the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank.
On Friday, December 11, Affinity Plus employees will be braving the elements to collect coins outside between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and there are special incentives for you to stop by during that time:
- The first 50 people to stop by Friday will receive a gift bag that includes a ticket to the GLOW Holiday festival at the MN State Fairgrounds and more.
- You’ll also have a chance to win a Minnesota Resort Getaway or a $100 Cub Food Gift card.
Food banks are experiencing a huge increase in demand, so this is an easy opportunity to help people across the Northland. Just about everyone has loose change in their car, in a drawer, in the desk or even in their couch. Time to gather it together and get to Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union.
