Harold’s Golf Fiasco Returns To Cloquet In August

One of the best events for one of the best causes out there is officially back next month! It's famous in its own right here in the Northland: Harold's Golf Fiasco.

The annual golf scramble raises money for St. Jude and our annual St. Jude Radiothon! Not only is it a great time but it really brings the community together for the cause, and is the biggest event put on by Harold and family each year.

Harold Ankrum and his family, along with help from the community, have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the kids at St. Jude over the years. This is the most popular event they put on and has become a summer tradition.

This year the fun is back so save the date for Saturday, August 22nd. This year, the golf event will take place at Big Lake Golf Course in Cloquet.

The event kicks off at 8 a.m. sharp! To schedule your tee time and take part, you can contact Tara, one of the event organizers, at 218-879-4734. As always, there is food and drink available for purchase.

You do not need to be an experienced golfer to take part. In fact, it is all for fun and for a great cause, helping the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. What could be better than golfing on a nice summer day for a great cause?

My favorite part of the event is the raffle, which takes place later in the afternoon. So many people and businesses donate incredible prizes and you can try your hand at winning some of your favorites with that money being donated towards the cause as well.

You even get some swag for taking part, and there are other fun opportunities you can take part in throughout the day as well. Things do book up so make sure you save the date and book your tee time as soon as possible. Let's help the kids at St. Jude!
