It's the season of giving - and you may be in the market for a Christmas tree right now. I just put mine up last night but it's fake unfortunately. Ha!

If you want a real Christmas tree, we have you covered: the annual Christmas trees for St. Jude fundraiser is officially back!

The fundraiser is held every December in Wrenshall by Harold Ankrum, his daughter Tara and many other family members. Between the family and community members that help with these events year round, tens of thousands are raised for St. Jude families.

This might be the most 'Minnesota' one yet - who doesn't want to go cut down their own fresh tree? Now you can.

How To Get A Christmas Tree For A Cause In Wrenshall

You can go pick out your own tree or pick one up that's already cut at Harold's Service in Carlton. All you need to do in return is give a donation of your choosing to St. Jude. Of course, that is a cause we are passionate about at Townsquare Media Duluth.

No amount is too big or small, and all benefits our annual St. Jude Radiothon. If you want to cut your own, you can do so kiddy-corner to 3030 Highway 23 in Wrenshall. It's super beautiful and you get some fresh air too!

If you have any questions, you are asked to reach out to Tara at 218-348-4492. The event will run for a few weeks until right before Christmas. You better get that tree up before December passes us by!

By the way, Harold and the family, along with the community, have raised so much money that he was honored with his own brick on the St. Jude campus in Memphis. It is so amazing, especially during the holiday season.

Pssst....if you do go cut your own tree, we have some tips for maintaining them throughout the month.
