Wisconsin State Patrol Warns Locals Of Resurfaced Scam
Here we go again! We all know there are a ton of scams going around. At any given time, there are so many scams, it's hard to keep track. In fact, it is nearly impossible.
At this point, we can all usually spot when something is a scam. The signs are all there: typos, wanting payment in the form of gift cards and more. However, sometimes realizing something is a scam isn't that easy.

Unfortunately, the latest scam to go around isn't as obvious as some others. The Wisconsin State Patrol took to social media on Monday (April 6th) to warn locals of a scam - but that's not all.
This might seem like déjà vu - because an old and popular scam has now resurfaced, hence the warning.

The emails and texts state that you have an 'outstanding traffic citation' and if you don't pay the balance, you will be punished accordingly. The good news is that you probably know if you have a traffic ticket, right?
Of course, the text and/or email includes a link where you square up and this is obviously a way to get your banking information. While the text does look somewhat real, never click any links you are unsure of, whether email or text.
