When Do We Typically See Our First Snowfall In Duluth?
If history repeats itself, it looks like we could be seeing snow very soon!
Fall is in full swing and that pretty much always means snow in the Northland. The temperatures have started to cool, the leaves are changing color and there is a chill in the air. We are also at the point of the year where no one would be surprised if we saw some snow!
That got me thinking - when do we usually see snow in Duluth? WDIO Meteorologist Taylor Dayton read my mind and shared that answer on his Facebook page this week. According to his report, we usually see our first snowfall on October 24th of every year.
The Old Farmer's Almanac also made their predictions for the month of October and their report says that it is likely we will see snow around that time this year.
That will just be the beginning of what seems to be a rough winter ahead. In August, the Farmers' Almanac released their predictions for the upcoming winter season and described it as a polar coaster, which can't be good. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
