West Duluth Dairy Queen Opens For The 2022 Season
Spring is right around the corner and this is always one of the best signs that it's close! The West Duluth Dairy Queen is officially open for the season.
There are many signs in the Northland that spring is near. One example similar to this one is when Gordy's Hi-Hat opens for the season. They always close up shop for the winter and open again when spring is in sight.
Another amazing sign that winter is almost over and done with is when the seasonal Portland Malt Shoppe opens every year. They tend to open later than Gordy's Hi-Hat, which means when they open, we are even closer to springtime!
Last but not least, we have A & Dubs. The drive-in is a local favorite, opening around Mother's Day every year. They sell classics like hot dogs, onion rings and soda. While winter weather is usually done with by the time they open, it still gets us excited to soak up springtime!
Yes, most of these signs of spring in the Northland are food-related but it doesn't get much better than having nicer weather and great food, right? Well, it can get better when ice cream is involved.
You can have ice cream and get a little taste of spring when you head to the Dairy Queen location in West Duluth. The location is different from others in that it is a seasonal store, meaning they are closed for the winter and open up in time for spring.
They are also different in that they are a "treats only" location. You can get any treat under the sun at this location but if you want a burger or fries, you'll have to go to a different location. Either way, it is a good telltale sign that spring is near!
The store is located at 4431 Grand Avenue. The store opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. every day. The shop is open every day of the week.
The other seasonal shops mentioned here will start to open over the next few months so stay tuned! In the meantime, you can get yourself a sweet treat.
