Target Changes Return Policy For Minnesota Customers
If you're a frequent Target shopper like me, you probably want to be in the know about any big changes the superstore makes. There have been many as of late.
A few months ago, it was announced that the store would no longer accept checks. (Yes, some people still pay with checks!)
The store also put a limit on how many items you can take through the self-checkout back in March, limiting customers to ten items in those lanes to move things along.

Now, there's a major change to their return policy. The new policy was quietly updated on their official website. The good news is that it might not impact you unless you're doing some sketchy stuff.

Target is known for their lenient 90-day return policy and will keep that in play for most unopened items returned within that window.

However, staff will now be a bit more strict when it comes to accepting merchandise. The new policy says that opened or damaged items, or those without a receipt, may 'be denied a refund' or exchange.
Like most other big businesses, Target has been a big target for shoplifting, with thieves trying to return the items for cash. (No pun intended.)
The business has also been lenient on customers returning used items that look like they are in good condition from the outside, only to reveal a heavily-used item upon further inspection. This new policy will put an end to it.
