Virginia, Minnesota Gets Ready For A New Comedy Shoot

And another one! Our neck of the woods has become quite the movie hub, with productions opting for the calm of northern Minnesota over the chaos of Hollywood, it seems.

It looks like another production will be filming on the Iron Range next month. According to a casting call for the film, this movie will be a comedy. There haven't been too many of those filmed in our neck of the woods.

The cool thing with these local productions is that it gives aspiring actors a shot to test their skills. These productions also ask for locals to take part in big and small roles, meaning someone who wants a little excitement can take part.

This film is called Shove Your Motivation. We don't know much about the movie but it will film in Virginia and cast AND crew are needed. Leedrick Studios shared details just a few days ago on social media.

Crew Needed For Upcoming Comedy Production On Iron Range

The dates of the production will be from May 5th through the 29th. You will not work weekends or on Memorial Day. The key grip position has been filled but if you have previous experience and are interested in any of the other spots, you should reach out with your resume.

The production will offer competitive pay based on experience and you will be provided lodging. What a fun experience!

Want to be in front of the camera but not have a big role? There's a spot for you as well. Leedrick Studios will need lots of extras, even in the hundreds, throughout the month. The biggest scene will film on May 8th. Want to take part? All you have to do is sign up!

Last but not least, Leedrick Studios is looking for quite a few parts for featured extras, including a grumpy bar regular, an over-the-top emcee, a serious security guard and even an argument starter. I know a few of those. Ha!
