Must Watch: A Surprising Rom-Com Delight Featuring A Minnesota Favorite

I have been on a 'rom-com' kick lately, rewatching old and iconic rom-coms that I haven't seen forever. Once I finished the classics, I was still in the mood to watch the genre so I started something on Netflix.

I finally landed on one and to my surprise, it featured Minnesota native Rachael Leigh Cook! She has many Minnesota ties, hailing from the Minneapolis area. She has gone on to become a famous actress and has been in a ton of movies.

This movie was called Sisterhood, Inc. and based on the description, I wasn't so sure I would like it but I gave it a try and I ended up loving it! It is the perfect rom-com for a cold, gloomy day.

The actress plays a successful business owner who loses her job and decides to try to organize her sister's life while she searches for her next move. Of course, she meets a guy while doing so and they slowly fall in love.

I didn't think I would like it because the caption on Netflix seems a bit deceiving. I didn't realize it was a rom-com until I started watching and did a little more research. It is a Hallmark movie that came out last year!

It's always fun to watch a movie with a Minnesota actor at the forefront. It is leaving Netflix later this month so check it out before it goes away to a different streaming service. I absolutely hate when that happens.

Another fun fact? Rachael Leigh Cook actually filmed a movie in Duluth a few years back. It was called Rescuing Christmas and was similar in that it was a really cute love story! I can't get enough of these types of movies.

All of this to say, there's nothing better than a good rom-com to get you in your feels. It's even better when there's a fun Minnesota and Duluth connection. I definitely give this at least three stars out of five! I might even watch it again.
