New rates took effect on January 1st, 2023 for Superior Water Light & Power Customers. My new monthly budget plan was just calculated and it was a shock.

The Superior Police Department has received several complaints about a scam targeting utility customers in Superior.

As we've told you before, Superior Water Light and Power has asked for a rate increase. The public service commission will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, October 16th at WITC at 2pm. SWLP has asked for the rate increase because of the temporary shut down of their biggest customer, Husky Refinery...

Superior Water Light and Power is looking to increase the rates for their customers to offset the loss of revenue from the Husky Oil Refinery being shut down.

Superior Mayor Jim Paine posted on Facebook on Tuesday night that he is going to be asking the city council to lower the landfill fee for the coming year, and look at lowering property taxes.

Northbound lanes are closed on Highway 53 between 18th Avenue East and 9th Avenue East due to a water main break.

Winter months bring freezing temperatures that can sometimes cause issues with utility pipes.  Stand pipes for water and gas lines could be thrust upward do to frost and the harsh winter.  If you notice a standpipe out of place, you should call Superior Water, Light, & Power to get it checked out.

I received my monthly utilities bill from Superior Water, Light, and Power company yesterday, and along with it came a pamphlet notifying customers about proposed changes.

Superior residents received a letter in the mail this week explaining that SWLP will be scheduling times to inspect water systems for cross contamination issues.    For customers that participate in the annual furnace Clean and Check, the survey will be done at that time.  For other residents, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment.
