
Superior Police Warn of Scam Targeting SWLP Customers
The Superior Police Department has received several complaints about a scam targeting utility customers in Superior. According to their Facebook page, the scam starts with a notification call that is automated and tells the customer they are past due on their bill. It then goes on to say they have 45 minutes to make a phone call to a number and make the payment, or risk having those utilities shut off.
Superior, Water, Light, and Power wants customers to know that this is a scam, and if you are delinquent with your bill you would received something in the mail long before service would be interrupted. If this scam happens to you, call 911.
