A new owner in Duluth, WDSE•WRPT came to an agreement with the University of Minnesota Duluth to purchase UMD's radio station, KUMD 103.3 FM. From now on the station will be known as "The North 103.3 FM".
From time to time we get requests to visit the radio stations here at Townsquaremedia from Boy and Girl scouts. Our latest visitors were a lovely group of Girls that had a mission of doing a Girl Scout ad for the radio and tour our stations.
Once upon a time I was a young man and didn't go to college. I was looking at my options, I could move to Nashville and try and be in the music business. I could move to Minneapolis and maybe go to school for radio, or try to break in by working weekends.

So many people dug the Panapet and remembered having one (my sister STILL has hers), that I couldn't resist blogging about The Toot-a-Loop Radio or Panasonic R-72. It's a novelty radio made by Panasonic in the early 1970s. My husband had one and still wishes he kept it...it twists and the dials are on the inside of where it breaks apart.
