‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ Host Dick Clark Dies at 82
The man many referred to as "the oldest teenager in the world" has reportedly passed away today. A representative reports that famed TV and radio personality Dick Clark suffered a massive heart attack after undergoing an outpatient procedure Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
Clark's health has declined since suffering a stroke in 2004, which has forced him to relinquish many of his host duties for "New Year's Rockin' Eve" to Ryan Seacrest. In recovering from the stroke, Clark still made appearances on New Year's Eve, providing the countdown to the new year as he has done for a total of 40 years.
His passing marks the end to a long career hosting a variety of radio and television programs spanning over 65 years. Among his many accomplishments, Clark earned 5 Emmy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
