You may already have a Duluth Public Library card that allows you borrow books and enjoy all the amenities of they have to offer, so you might not be interested in upgrading to one of the two new designs.  However, if you have children, this would be a great way to put a little spark in that summer time reading interest.

It happens every new year, you have great intentions, you enthusiastically put together a list and then you get busy.  The list gets shoved under papers, you find it and stress a little because you haven't gotten to it and ultimately it gets forgotten.  Not this year, I'm here to help!  Here are 5 super easy things to get done and feel accomplished.

I blogged about the unique holiday cookie exchange that I did recently and everyone seemed to like the idea.  Well, here's another idea that I think is grand and wonder why it wasn't thought of sooner!  A holiday recipe exchange!  Thanks to the Duluth Public Library you can get some new recipes your family will love that has been tested and loved by another family.  Who wants to share?

Go green with more than your tree this year!  Have you ever felt guilty to read a Christmas Card and toss it to the side?  Think about it, someone thought you special enough to buy, write, address and spend money on a stamp to wish you a happy holiday.  Feel guilty no longer, instead upcycle or reuse your Christmas cards.  Learn how with the Duluth Public Library.

Sam and I were there as The Duluth Public Library Celebrated Harry Potter. There were maps, scavenger hunts, potions, a costume contest, and featured a Harry Potter movie. There was a good turn out as kids were treated to all sorts of themes from the popular Harry Potter movies.

The adventures of Harry Potter has been enjoyed for years and by all ages.  After a bit of a hiatus, Harry Potter made a huge comeback when the book "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" was released.  Now there's anticipation with the upcoming film release and the Duluth Public Library is getting in on the frenzy with a free event.

If you've been waiting for the perfect Duluth Huskies game to bring the kids to, this Sunday is THE one!  Several community entities have come together to provide our children with a day to remember and encourage our youth to love reading and books...

Winter break for many children in the Northland is the week of February 15.  Have you planned family fun events with your kids?  I know, it's hard to find things the whole family can do AND afford.  The Duluth Public Library has taken care of the planning for you and will be hosting several different events for all ages all week long.  The best part?  They're all FREE!

My craft room looks like total chaos and one reason is that it's hard to get rid of anything, ANYTHING!  But, as I continue to do craft projects, I keep accumulating crafting supplies that I didn't use.  The Duluth Public Library had a great idea and turned it into an event that we can all benefit from.
