The annual spring cleanup starts April 30th in Superior, and the city would like residents to know of some changes in the criteria for what they accept and how to properly stack your brush.

Between my kitchen that is a laminate looking wood but still warps when it gets wet and my camper floor that is filthy, I would go through half a bottle of 409 and two whole rolls of paper toweling. I was at a lost and would procrastinate because it was a knee and back breaker.  Now I have clean floors at a fraction of the work.

Once again we are approaching the spring clean up time of year.   The City of Superior has released it's spring cleanup schedule, with the first pick up days beginning for certain neighborhoods on May 1st.

I grew up in the country, the whole world was my dog's "park".  It wasn't until I moved to the city and saw the smaller yards that I understood the need for dog parks.  The first dog park in Duluth was introduced in 2004, the next in 2011, now we have a third on Riley Road.  The dog parks well be closed temporarily while they're cleaned and maintained this week.

There was quite the ruckus about the snarl of traffic in Canal Park today.  It's the height of the tourist season and it seems that the Aerial Lift Bridge was down to one lane to be cleaned.  One would wonder why it has to be done now.  After talking with Aerial Lift Bridge Supervisor, Dave Campbell, it was more than "just a cleaning" and it makes perfect sense.

Ok, this is embarrassing, I don't even wash my walls (my friend Kathy does!) and the City of Duluth makes me look bad by washing the BRIDGE!  Getting it all shined up for tourist season (dang seagulls!).  But, that means some single lane traffic you should know about.

Cleaning my clothes closet has been on my "to do" list since August.  I finally got the inspiration to git r done over the holiday break.  Here are a few things I did to make the most of the tiny space I call my closet.  In the picture you see me bidding farewell to some of my 80's jeans.  It's time.
