Superior’s Garbage Pickup Routes & Days Change This Summer
The City of Superior will be adjusting their garbage routes and pickup schedules this summer. Mayor Jim Paine announced on Facebook the changes with a pun about not wanting to talk trash, then explaining the adjustment. According to Mayor Paine, the schedule will save the city money and be far more efficient in the future.
According to the map, North End of Superior will be picked up on Mondays. Billings Park to Tower Avenue will be picked up on Tuesdays. Wednesdays will be pickup days for the UWS & WITC neighborhoods. Thursday will be pick up day for East End Superior, and Fridays will be fore Allouez, and South Superior.
These changes will take place starting Monday August 2nd, 2021. The way the routes are currently is a little scattered with neighborhoods a mix of pick up days in some cases. While there may be an adjustment people for some, it definitely will look like a much more streamlined schedule route.
The city of Superior encourages residents to sign up for notifications about changes, which you can do on their website. You can also see their holiday garbage pickup changes for the year as well, which is always good to know.
Mayor Jim Paine also added that recycling will be on the same day as garbage pick up. Garbage is picked up weekly, and recycling is picked up every other week.
If you have questions regarding pickup changes you can call the street department at (715) 394-0244.
