Superior Mayor Announces Tax + Fee Decreases For Residents
Just days after Superior Mayor Jim Paine announced that he's running for re-election, he announced good news on his Facebook page regarding decreased taxes and fees for Superior residents.
His November 27 announcement read:
I have some more good news for you, just in time for the holidays. Your taxes and fees are officially going down. Your landfill fee will decrease starting in January and your property taxes will fall by 3.77%. You’ve asked for this over and over and I’ve heard a lot of doubt that it would ever happen. But after months of work, some relief is coming to Superior homeowners. I want to sincerely thank our City staff and the City Council for working with me to create a truly historic step forward for our citizens.
On November 21, Mayor Paine used Facebook to announce that he's running for re-election. He's invited the public to join him to kick off the campaign at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1st at the Carnegie Library on Hammond Avenue in Superior.
