Spread Smiles and Give Back to the Community with the Rotary Club 25 Rose Sale Going on NOW
If you've been reluctant to cover your rose bushes with the colder weather, don't worry about it. You can still have beautiful roses in your home thanks to the 28th year of the Rose Sale with Duluth's Rotary Club. You'll be putting a smile on someone's face (or your own) for remembering them and being part of the big picture with community help.
Congratulations to the Club members on the longevity of their fundraising and a big THANK YOU for your continued dedication to our community. Of course, they couldn't raise the money needed without our help.
For more than 100 years, Rotary Club 25 has fulfilled the Rotary mission of “Service Above Self” and returns approximately $100,000 annually to the Twin Ports Community through this volunteer-driven event. You may be involved with or familiar with some of the projects they support. Just a few from the long list include: 2012 Flood Relief, lighting of Enger Tower, East Hillside Patch: Mind 2 Mind program, clothing for Kids Closet, The Damiano Center’s Kids CafÈ, City of Duluth Azalea Garden, Hartley Nature Center, Bethany Crisis Nursery, Denfeld High School Speech Meet, Northeast Regional Science Fair, and many other community projects.
While you're helping to raise money, you'll be enjoying beautiful red and lollipop (mixed colored) roses. They can be purchased now for only $20 per dozen through any Rotary Club 25 member or simply by calling (218) 348-ROSE.
Picking up your roses will be convenient at one of the chosen area locations (noted on the tickets) on October 11 and 12.
