A WII Navy Sailor who was killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor has finally been accounted for 77 years later.  Navy Fireman 2nd Class Lowell E. Valley was 19 years old when he lost his life in the attack of Pearl Harbor after the ship he was aboard capsized after it received multiple torpedo hits.

In 2015 the DPAA disinterred remains from the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific and Valley's remains have now been officially accounted for after years of obstacles hindering the identification process.

The Patriot Guard will be escorting his remains from Minneapolis to his home town in Michigan.  They will be making a short stop in Superior WI.  According to the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office, the procession will be leaving the Best Western on Hammond Avenue at 7pm. The final destination is his hometown in Ontonagon, Michigan.
