Alborn, Minnesota Bar Hosts 9th Annual Military Appreciation Day August 5
It's the 9th year of the Annual Military Appreciation Day at the Clip Joint Bar & Grill in Alborn, Minnesota. Last year the event raised a record $9,100 that benefited veterans memorial flights to visit memorials in Washington, D.C. This year, organizers hope it will be another record-breaking fundraiser.
It happens on August 5th at the Clip Joint, located at 6697 Chase Dr, Alborn, MN 55702.
The appreciation day is open to all service members past and present, and all supporters of the military. There will be prize drawings throughout the day, horseshoe & bean bag tournaments, and mountain golf.
Live music will be provided by the "Centerville Allstars," who have generously donated their time for free to support the fundraising efforts. The live music begins at 3 pm.
Stay for karaoke at 9 pm, with a campfire to follow.
Food will be available from two different food truck son sights. You're even allowed to party safely and camp overnight.
There also will be a ceremony to properly retire your old American flags at 3pm.
This year money raised will support the 23rd Veteran Program. 23rd Veteran helps military members who have experienced trauma to live happier, healthier lives.
