Big news arrived this week for Northland Green Bay Packers fans as the team announced plans for the 2023 Packers Tailgate Tour, which is a great way for the team to visit with their dedicated fanbase throughout the state of Wisconsin and thank them for their support.

The 2023 Packers Tailgate Tour will travel from Green Bay to Western and Northern Wisconsin between Tuesday, April 11, and Saturday, April 15, including planned stops in Superior and Ashland.

The last two years, the Packers had recently transitioned to a modified version of the event with the Packers Road Trip, but the team says this year's event will retain a similar format to the Road Trip while returning to the fan-favorite Tailgate Tour name.

As they've done in years past, the 2023 event will feature current and alumni Packers players, with current players Aaron Jones, Elgton Jenkins, and Romeo Doubs and alumni players Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Eddie Lacy, and Davon House scheduled to board the bus, along with Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy.

The bus will hit the road with the following tour schedule:

  • Eau Claire on Tuesday, April 11
  • Superior on Wednesday, April 12
  • Ashland on Thursday, April 13
  • Minocqua on Friday, April 14
  • Green Bay on Saturday, April 15

As they visit each community, the tour group will "visit schools, hospitals, businesses, retirement homes, event venues, and community centers to present donations and giveaway items and visit with fans of all ages, with the goal of impacting many different communities."

The Packers are working diligently ahead of the tour with a variety of locations and nonprofits throughout the region to coordinate visits and fundraising opportunities.

While full details and locations are still being finalized for the Packers Tailgate Tour visit to Superior, they have announced they will be part of a ticketed event in Ashland.

Ashland High School will be hosting Oredocker Fun Night at 6:00 p.m. on April 13, with family-friendly activities, entertainment, and a Q&A with the Packers.

Tickets for Oredocker Fun Night are $10 each and they are on sale now. Other public, ticketed events for the Packers Tailgate Tour are scheduled in Eau Claire, Minocqua, and Rhinelander.

The team will release more details on their Superior stop as soon as they are all set but for now, Northland Packers fans should keep April 12 open.
