I was grocery shopping at one of my favorite grocery stores this past weekend and noticed a black covering over the Cosmopolitan Magazine sporting the beautiful Miranda Lambert.  I hadn't seen this anywhere else in town, they are just out there on display.  I got the scoop from the check-out clerk and I don't agree, do you?

Cosmo magazine has always pushed the edge on the front cover, whether it's in risque pictures or headline topics.  While my groceries were being checked out I mentioned to the clerk that I hadn't noticed Cosmo covered up anywhere else and she gave me the scoop.

She said that while a man, woman and a young girl were checking out the parents became very vocal about the front cover of the Cosmo magazine.  They claimed they weren't going to shop there anymore due to the exposed cover and didn't appreciate their young daughter being subjected to that kind of photo.  They then proceeded to gather all the Cosmo magazines from all the checkout stands and placed them at an unused aisle.  The clerk said they were loud, disruptive and adamant.

My reaction is that Cosmo has had explicit pics and topic headlines for as long as I can remember.  That while the couple may feel they've taken care of what they consider a "situation" at that store, if they go to any other store in the area that sells magazines they will find the same exposed Cosmo cover.  That they could have handled it better by discretely asking to speak to the manager about their concerns.  I'm also hoping that no one is blaming Miranda Lambert for the cover.  While I'm sure she has a say, she also has a host of "her people" that make many of her decisions to further her career.

See the photo below, are you offended?  Do you think the couple was warranted in their actions?

FYI:  Everyone is entitled to their opinion, please be kind and respective of other people's thoughts. See photo below. [Warning:  Explicit Photo]
