America’s Best State Fair? Minnesota Takes the Top Spot Again

The Minnesota State Fair is upon us. It always seems so far away when things start to get announced but summer flies by in the Northland. It's almost here and after having to miss it last year, I can't wait for it this year.

The Grandstand lineup is also incredible this year, with country stars like Brad Paisley taking to the big stage to pop acts like AJR. There is a concert for everyone.

We all know that the big Minnesota get-together is a huge deal. Even outside of state lines, it is known as one of the best fairs in the country, if not the best.

In fact, just a few months ago, it was named the best state fair in the country by Travel & Leisure. This is not the first time it has snagged that title. In fact, a different publication just echoed this sentiment.

With fair season in full swing, ACE.com put together a list of America's best state fairs. They made their list considering factors like popularity, visitor ratings, social media 'buzz' and even ticket affordability, which is a big one these days.

No surprise here but Minnesota came out on top. The event has a nearly five-star rating, the highest of them all, and generates more Instagram and TikTok posts than any other fair. That is really saying something these days!

It's true - my entire feed and algorithm is the Minnesota State Fair when the event rolls around. It also ties with Florida in terms of monthly search volume, to the tune of about 90,500 searches. Wow!

The Iowa State Fair comes in second, followed by the Florida State Fair, the North Carolina State Fair and the Washington State Fair rounding out the top five. It looks like I have some other fairs to attend so I can compare.
