Before you know it, the 2026 edition of the Great Minnesota Get-Together will be here!

Over the last several months, we've been getting little doses of things to expect at this year's Minnesota State Fair, as different entertainment features have been unveiled for this year's fair

The 2026 Minnesota State Fair is scheduled to start on Thursday, August 27, and run through Monday, September 7, 2026.

Besides the food, one of the highlights for many fair attendees each year is the live entertainment. Every year, there are numerous free acts (which you can see here) at various smaller stages around the fairgrounds. There is also a lineup of nightly headlining acts who take the Grandstand stage.

As of June 2, the full lineup of this year's Grandstand entertainment has been announced. It offers a little something for everyone, with the parody comedy music of Weird Al, country-rock vibes of Hardy, legendary music of Rod Stewart, Tommy James & The Shondells, and much more. There's a lot to look forward to this year!

While we now know all of the Grandstand shows and free entertainment, we'll still have to wait a little bit yet before we get the new foods and beverages to look forward to this year. They usually get announced a little closer to the fair.
