They've starred in movies for and with each other over the years, and now Matt Damon and George Clooney will be continuing their onscreen bromance with 'The Monuments Men.'

Matt Damon and George Clooney have a long cinematic history together -- the two of them starred together in the 'Ocean's 11' trilogy, Damon made an appearance in Clooney's 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,' Clooney produced Steven Soderbergh's 'The Informant!' which starred Damon, and the two made 'Syriana' together.

But their relationship is taking the next step, according to Deadline, with the upcoming film 'The Monuments Men.' Damon is currently in talks to join the packed cast of Clooney's latest directorial effort, which already includes Clooney, Daniel Craig, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Bob Balaban, and Jean Dujardin. (And with Blanchett, Murray, and Balaban, it looks like Clooney's been watching some Wes Anderson films lately.)

The film is an adaptation of the Robert M. Edsel book titled 'The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History,' which tells the true story of how the U.S. government selected a group of American and British art experts to help retrieve artwork stolen by the Nazis during World War II. So it's basically like 'Ocean's 11' meets World War II, and we're really, really okay with that.
