Help us celebrate those people who provide care, encouragement, independence, and dignity to people with disabilities during Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week, September 13-19.

We've teamed up with Trillium Services to honor the special people who help empower others to live meaningful lives. Do you know someone who makes a difference by helping others?

Direct Support Professionals are people who work alongside people who have disabilities. They encourage independent living and skill-building. In some cases, they provide transportation and accompany clients to work, doctor appointments, or social events.

The difference between a DSP worker and a caregiver is that Direct Support Professionals work alongside a client, rather than for a client. This helps clients learn self-sufficiency and life skills.

Direct Support Professional Recognition Week takes place this September 13-19. Nominate a DSP worker to be recognized in the form below. We'll be recognizing professionals on the air September 13-19. Those selected will also receive a gift basket from supporting local businesses.
