Kurt Russell Delivers A Gift With ‘The Christmas Chronicles’ [REVIEW]

The Netflix Original "The Christmas Chronicles" is a fun Christmas movie that the whole family can enjoy. It's a little cheesy at times, but you can get away with that with it being a Christmas movie and anchored by the wonderful Kurt Russell.

Has Kurt Russell ever had a bad performance? I really can't think of anything, and he plays a believable Santa Claus. The jokes about how mistakenly fat everyone thinks he is land every time. There were actually quite a few laugh out loud moments. We even got to witness Kurt's singing skills in a bizarre holiday jail scene.

The story is pretty good and delivers a meaningful message. The acting from everyone else is pretty good, but the draw of seeing Kurt Russell play Santa Claus is what really makes this movie work. At first I was worried because Netflix has had this habit of getting one recognizable actor in a movie to carry it. Sometimes it doesn't work, but Russell can pull this sleigh.  If you're looking to add a new holiday film to your list to watch this year, don't miss this one.
