Catch Two Duluth-Made Films With Special Holiday Event

This is INCREDIBLE! You probably know by now if you're reading this that we have become a hot spot for movie shoots. We've had a handful of successful Christmas movies filmed right here in the Duluth area.

One of those, as you'll recall, was an instant hit on Hulu when it premiered a few years ago. It was called Merry Kiss Cam and people everywhere were talking about it!

The other popular movie filmed here is called Rescuing Christmas. It premiered on Hallmark in 2024 and it was so fun to see so many local spots while watching the movie.

If you haven't had the chance to watch the films yet or you simply want to watch again, you have a shot THIS weekend with a fun event happening in Duluth.

Catch A Special Double Header At The Depot On December 21st

Get in the holiday spirit with a few Christmas romcoms. Truly, there is nothing better than a great, romantic holiday movie. This event will take place on Sunday (December 21st) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Duluth Depot.

This is part of the Made In Duluth Film Series: Holiday Edition. This event is completely free and will feature a screening of BOTH movies. It's family-friendly, open to the public and the perfect way to kick off the week.

Meet The Filmmaker Behind The Films With Special Appearance

Mandy June Turpin, the Duluth-based filmmaker behind both projects, will be answering questions about both films. She'll also share her experience working in Duluth on the films.

The first movie will be Merry Kiss Cam at the start of the event, followed by the special Q&A segment around 2:30 p.m. That will last about 45 minutes, with the screening of Rescuing Christmas kicking off around 3:15 that afternoon.
