PIGS Ride Benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

This group of 60+ guys are honestly the kindest, most compassionate, hard-working volunteers I have ever met. The best part is they have so much fun while they are raising money with their focus on Veterans and children. This weekend they will be raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and you are invited to participate in a couple of different ways.

Don't mistake the PIGS for a "club". Instead, they are a group of people that ride to help others, because it's two things they are so passionate about. Their signature saying is, LGGD: Let's Go Give or Get Donations. How cool is that?

They've done several successful benefits and Vets rides and now are helping the children by teaming up with B105 and KOOL 101.7 to raise money to benefit the cancer and other catastrophic disease research done at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Look for them to give a check presentation at the next St. Jude Radiothon on B105 and KOOL 101.7.

The 1st annual ride will be this Saturday, September 26 starting at Grumpy's, 3823 East 2nd Street in Superior. Register from 10:30-noon. Then, take a ride through Wisconsin on the Delta Drummond viewing the beautiful fall colors. Of course there will be stops along the way with the ride ending at Tavern 105 in South Superior. Here's where you come in if you don't have a bike or can't commit to the ride. Join us there for there at 6p for games, prizes, a hog roast and dance to the band Shocker. Cost is $15 for single riders, $25 for doubles with proceeds benefiting the families and research at St. Jude. Hot rods are also welcome.
