Did you get one of the plastic bags like the one in the picture with your mail this week?  It's for a very good reason and one you need to think about before you leave the house to float in a cold boat to fish, run errands or head to work tomorrow.

They're use to collecting mail, but tomorrow our postal carriers will be picking up non-perishable food donations you leave by your mailbox.   It's the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive is going on across the country.  Super One Foods started the drive this week by donating 1100 pounds of food!

This drive is important to stock the shelves for the summer months when school is out and children are home to eat breakfast and lunch rather than getting those meals at school.

It's easy!  Use the bag provided and fill it with non-perishable food items like canned meats, fish, soup, juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal, peanut butter and rice.  Then just place it near your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up and deliver to our local Chum Food Bank.
