This Saturday, May 12, is the 26th annual Stamp Out Hunger Campaign with the National Association of Letter Carriers, a great campaign that makes it easy to help our community.

The Squash Hunger campaign, presented by Minnesota FoodShare and CHUM, is in the home stretch and more donations are needed to hit their goal to raise $110,000 and collect 31,000 pounds of food to stock three food shelves that provide food for 500 Duluth households each month.

Local Boy Scouts and Chum will be doing the annual SHARE Food Drive this Saturday at grocery stores in Duluth & Cloquet between 8 AM and 4PM.  This is an easy way to help out local families by donating cash or food items at the participating grocery stores.

I love the Soup Nazi character from Seinfeld.  It's one of my favorite episodes.  Now the actor that played him, Larry Thomas, is using his soup fame to help feed soup to people in need.
