Fortune Bay Resort Casino's Wildfire Relief Effort In Tower, MN

Wildfires burning in northern Minnesota have caused air quality to become extremely hazardous, especially over the second half of last week. Air quality is expected to plummet again over the next few days.

Wildfires continue burning and for this reason, many people need help. People are being forced to evacuate their homes and firefighters are working hard to put out the flames, which likely won't happen for awhile.

Many companies have stepped up to help those in need, including U-Haul, which is offering an array of free storage options for those that are evacuating.

Now, Fortune Bay Resort Casino is also stepping up. They shared a lengthy message of support on social media on Friday (July 17th), which details their plan to help both firefighters and locals in need.

Fortune Bay Resort Casino Shares Plan To Help Those In Need Amid Wildfires

First and foremost, Fortune Bay will be providing water, gatorade, pop and light snacks for firefighters that might need a little break. They are also offering an area for them to cool down and take a break, or even take a shower.

They are also offering a limited number of free RV parking spaces for those with an RV that need a place to stay or store it. They are welcoming generators, along with limited parking for boats.

They also might have hotel rooms available but that is all based on availability and occupancy at the time of need. They will help you make other arrangements in the area if they do not have a space available.

If you are in need of help, you are asked to contact the front desk and they will help you coordinate anything you need. They are also collecting donations if you would like to contribute that way.

They are collecting bottled water, gatorade, phone charges, charging blocks, shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries. You can also donate granola bars, trail mix, protein snacks and apples.

While this is a tough time indeed, it definitely makes me smile knowing how much the community is stepping up for those in need. The casino is located in Tower.
