First 2020 Northland Baby Was Born in Duluth
A beautiful baby boy was the first baby of 2020 born in the Northland. The bundle of joy was delivered at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
According to our media partners at WDIO-TV:
Kate and Dan Jaakola from Cloquet welcomed their bundle of joy Barrett at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday morning at St. Luke's Hospital.
Barrett came in weighing at seven pounds, 13 ounces, and 20.5 inches long.
The couple say Barrett was originally due on January 6 and weren't expecting for him to arrive early.

The first 2020 baby born in the United States was Oz Carlin Young, who was born just 42 seconds into 2020. Oz was delivered by Dr. Thomas Shieh at Guam Memorial Hospital.
