The family of the boy who was thrown from a balcony at the Mall Of America earlier this year is offering an update on his status.

The family spoke to NBC News on Wednesday (June 26th) about 5-year-old Landen's status and unfortunately, it isn't great news.

According to NBC News, the boy has undergone 15 surgeries and procedures since the incident in April. He also remains in intensive care.

The family offered more details into said surgeries and procedures, saying he has had medical care for two broken arms, a broken leg, spleen removal, fluid removal from his lungs and stomach, facial and skull fractures and a stent placed near his liver.

For now, the boy, who has only been identified by his first name, remains in intensive care. The family asks that everyone continues to pray for him.

The incident happened in mid-April. The victim was thrown from the third floor of the huge mall. The man who threw him over the railing has since been sentenced to 19 years in prison.

A few weeks later, the family reported that Landen was feeling better and could be home as early as June. Sadly, this is no longer the case.

If you want to help the family, you can also donate to Landen's GoFundMe page, which has raised over one million dollars and counting.
