The City of Superior has their yearly spring clean up free landfill days, and they've announced when they are happening this year. The first will be on April 27th, and the next will be on the following Saturday, May 4th. Both days the landfill will be open from 8:30am-2:30pm.

There is a list of acceptable items that you can dispose of free of charge. Some of the items include:

  • Household trash
  • Brush
  • Grass Clippings/Leaves (free year round)

You can drop off mattresses and box springs, but the regular charge will apply. The city urges you to keep them dry. If the item is dry and relatively clean it will be $17. If it's wet and soiled, $20.

No construction demolition material will be accepted at the landfill at any time. Other items not accepted include:

  • Recyclables
  • Electronics
  • Appliances
  • Batteries
  • Fluorescent Bulbs
  • Motor Oil
  • Household Hazardous waste

You also must be a resident of Superior and be able to provide proof of residency. You must secure and cover your load, regular littering fees will be applied if you lose garbage items during transport.

If you have any questions you can call the landfill at 715-398-7222.
