Bluebird Foundation Announces Spring Grant Recipients
The Bluebird Foundation announced their annual spring grant recipients today at a reception at the Black Woods event center in Proctor.
The Bluebird Foundation has many short and long-term goals in its arts advocacy. Scholarships are awarded annually in May and November.
Grants were awarded to these area students in the following categories:
C.M. “Bud” Schultz Music Awards (2 at $500 each)
- Alexander Goodlet-Northwestern High School, Maple
- Ben Janicki-Superior Sr. High School
Big Daddy’s-Jim Stellmaker Brass Award (2 at $750.00 each)
- Austin Engelhardt- Homeschool, Two Harbors
- Samuel Sadlowsky-Aitkin High School
Rose Mary Harmeier Hoene Dance Awards (1 at $500)
- Savannah Ernst-Hermantown High School
John D. Munsell Theater Award (1 at $500)
- Kelly Killorin-Denfeld High School
Bluebird Vocal Award (1 at $500)
- Sophia Brenner-Cloquet Sr. High School
Ray Wolffe Award (1 at $500)
- Tristan Erspamer-Harbor City International School, Duluth
Michael Baker Percussion Award (1 at $500)
- Gabriel Ehlers-Nelson-Marshall School, Duluth
Bob Schroeder Entrepreneur Award (1 at $500)
- Karlyn Nessa-Hermantown High School
JCC Services Twin Ports Award. (1 at $500)
- Quinn Muhich-Eveleth-Gilbert High School
To date the foundation has awarded over $40,000 to area high school aged kids in the performing arts.
