Animal Allies Kids Camps Returns For The Summer

I feel that it is so important for kids to learn about the care and companionship of animals at a young age, even if they don't own a pet themselves. It helps them learn about kindness and empathy for another living thing who is completely dependent on them. Thankfully Animal Allies knows how important and what a difference kids can make in the lives of the shelter animals as well.

They currently have four different camp openings, but please note these camps fill up fast so discuss it with your kids and get them signed up ASAP. The Camps That are now available are as follows:

Kittens, Puppies and Kiddos for ages 6-9: This camp session is for kids who like dogs and cats and want to learn how to safely pet, hold and care for these animals. On top of that kids will play fun games, meet lots of animals, do arts and crafts and more. This is generally one of the most popular camps and fills up very quickly. Multiple Sessions Available.
ART Camp for Ages 10 and Up: If you are an artist at heart with a love and compassion for animals and want to build new relationships with your peers then you will definitely want t be a part of Art Camp. July 6th - July 9th
Girl Power Camp for Ages 9 and up: Empower your daughter as she learns to get hands on experience caring for animals and building relationships with new friends in this super fun camp. This one also fills up super fast. July 12-July15.
Career Camp Ages 11 and Up: Kids get to interact with the animals as they shadow some the shelters animal care experts as they do their daily tasks. This camp gives kids a look into working and having a career in working with animals.

I have seen first hand how so many of these kids stay involved in some sort of volunteer capacity with Animal Allies when I have attended or hosted different events. They are so patient and kind to all the animals and it makes me so happy to see this generation of kids showing so much respect and love for these animals.
